a) In pairs, investigate how the United Nations work related to each topic below. What do they do in order to …

Example:
St. A: The United Nations Organization maintains international peace and security by working to prevent conflict/ helping parties in conflict make peace/ peacekeeping/creating the conditions to allow peace to hold and flourish.

b) In groups, you are working for The United Communities in your neighborhood. Think about the problems that people in your neighborhood have to face everyday. Write down a list of them on your notebook.

c) In groups, organize a poll of questions to interview students or people from the neighborhood, in order to find out the order of importance of the problems they face and their suggestions
to solve them.

d) In pairs, interview students or people in the neighborhood (use the questions selected by the group) and collect their answers.

e) Think about each kind of graph in column A and match them to its purposes in column B.

g) Get in groups again, bring the suggestions you collected during the interview and discuss about the possibility of applying them in order to solve the number one problem.
